Freschetta Flat Bread Pizza

The folks over at Freschetta Pizza sent over some coupons for me to try their new Freschetta FlatBread Pizza.  I’ve never tasted their pizzas before, so I’m pretty excited to try one.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  I think the Roasted Garlic and Spinach looks pretty interesting.  And I know the kids will probably want [...]

Souplantation 99 Cents Kid’s Meal Coupons

I guess you can tell we go to Souplantation a lot, huh?  It’s one of the most affordable places a family on a budget can eat, and with 5 of us, we need to save all the money we can, because eating out can be costly.  The food is mostly healthy, and for the most [...]

Fritos For Breakfast

Okay, I’m publicly admitting it, and I’m ashamed to do so.  I’m letting Nick have Fritos for breakfast.  He came to me with the bag, a bowl, and a smile.  Of course, he already finished the bowl of blueberries I gave him, so Fritos aren’t the only thing he’s eaten for breakfast.

I’m finishing up a huge [...]

12 Things I Wish I Had Known When I First Became A Mom

Are you new to motherhood? You’re not alone. At one point, we all are. Here are some of the things I wish I would have known when I was first starting my journey into motherhood.

“What Do You Mean I’m Not One Anymore?”

”Well, What Are You Waiting For?  [...]

Cheerios Strike

You know that well-known cereal that all kids love?  The one that is so easily recognized by its simple circular design?  The one that is made of oats and a perfect finger food for young children?  Yes, that cereal — Cheerios?  Well, apparently they did something to offend Nick, because he has gone on a [...]

Make A Healthier Peanut Butter And Jelly Sandwich

As a mother, I’m always looking for ways to make my kid’s food healthier.  Here’s my version of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Start off with 2 slices of 100% whole wheat bread.  This will provide a healthy dose of fiber.  The bread I use provides 5 grams of fiber per slice.  Two slices equals [...]

Beach Bunnies

I’m still recovering from our day at the beach.  Felicity didn’t get to pet any dolphins, but she still had a good time.  Chase couldn’t get enough of the water.  Other than getting knocked over by a few strong waves and having our food raided by a flock of seagulls, we really enjoyed ourselves.  None [...]

The Bottomless Pit Attacks Again

After about 15-20 strawberries (cut into quarters, so about 80 pieces of strawberries), 2 bowls of cereal, a bagel, a hand full of blueberries and some french fries, guess who is STILL crying like he hasn’t eaten in 5 days???!!  THE BOTTOMLESS PIT!!!!!
