For those of you who are curious about me, I’m afraid there’s not too much to tell.

My name is Gwen, and I was born and raised on the East Coast. My father is a former Navy seaman and my mother is a homemaker. I am the oldest of three kids. After years of longing to live in a place where the climate is warm and sunny, I decided to leave behind the cold, rainy winters for the sunny skies of Southern California, and twenty years later, I’m still here. (But believe it or not, I actually miss the rain.)
I met my husband while we were in college and we have been happily married for almost 12 years (and together for 19!). Three kids later, I still consider myself to be one of the luckiest women alive. Just remind me of that the next time one of my kids screams, “Mommmyyyyyyy!” or my almost 2-year-old has a major meltdown, which seems to occur about once a day.
My interests include movies, TV, and country music. I also did some acting in my younger days. I have recently become very interested in health and nutrition. I think if I had college to do over again, I probably would have become a nutritionist.
Before I became a mother, I worked at a major movie studio, climbing the corporate ladder. Once I had my first child, I decided to put away the ladder. (Okay, so I had a little help. I was laid off, along with 4,000 other employees. But considering that I tried for a year and a half to get pregnant, I considered it a blessing.) I knew I would never get that time back with my baby, so I decided to try another career: motherhood. And even though I still work part-time, I have a flexible enough schedule that I still consider motherhood my primary career.
