My Songbird Spreads Her Wings

For those of you who read my previous post about Felicity trying out for the Glee Club, today the list of kids who were selected was posted outside of Felicity’s classroom.  When I picked Felicity up after school, I took a look at the list and guess whose name I saw on it?  YES, FELICITY MADE THE GLEE CLUB!!  Felicity’s teacher let her class look at the list during school, so Felicity already knew she was selected, but that still didn’t stop her from taking a second peek at the list.  She was so excited she made the club, especially since this was the first time she tried out.  I don’t know how many kids actually tried out, but there were 30 kids signed up to try up for each of the three days they held tryouts.  I know some kids changed their minds and decided not to show up, but out of the supposed 90 who signed up, 58 were selected.  I’m just so glad for Felicity.  She felt such a rush of pride at being selected. 

Her teacher told me they are going to be performing a contemporary musical called Are We There Yet?.  From what I know, it’s supposed to tell the story of Moses and the Exodus in a humorous fashion.  There’s a meeting next week, where I suppose we’ll get all the details about what to expect.
