The other day while we were setting the table for dinner, I decided to let Nick use Chase’s old Mickey Mouse placemat. Chase hadn’t been using it as much since he got his Cars placemat, so I thought I would let Nick use it for dinner. Instead of getting upset that Nick was using something that was his, Chase took one look at the placemat and said, “Mickey Mouse is for little boys. Cars are for big boys.”
I wasn’t sure where that came from, especially since he loves watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Then it occured to me that Nick’s diapers have Mickey Mouse on them, and Chase’s old pull ups had Cars on them, so I guess that’s where he got it from. Also, he’s got underwear with the characters from Cars on it, but none with Mickey Mouse. Other than that, I just assume he thinks Lightning McQueen is more “grown up” than Mickey Mouse is.

Oh how cute Chase is about Mickey Mouse.
I guess you’re right that he thinks Cars is more for big boys.
Kids say the sweetest things. Don’t you just love them!
Kids always surprise us with their comments.
At least Chase shared his Mickey Mouse placemat with Nick. It’ll probably be Nick’s now because Mickey Mouse are for little boys!
It’s good that you had the Cars placemat!
