I don’t have what you would call an ordinary job. I don’t work regular hours or for just one company. Since I am basically self-employed, the amount of work I do varies each month, on a project by project basis. The upside to this is that I have a fairly flexible schedule. As long as I complete the projects on time, it’s up to me when to get it done. The downside is that I don’t have a steady income and am always looking for the next project.
Some months I have more work than I can handle, and others, barely any. This past month and a half has been one of those times where I have as much work as I would have if I had been working full-time. And it doesn’t look like it will be letting up anytime soon. On one hand, I’m grateful for the work because we need the money, but on the other hand, it is exhausting. I take my hat off to the women who work full-time on a permanent basis and juggle motherhood at the same time. Let me tell ya, it ain’t easy.
So between being out all day working, then coming home and working on reports, helping Felicity with homework, dinner, and spending time with the kids, I haven’t had the time to pay as much attention to this blog as I’d like. I’ll try to keep up as best I can, but if there are days I don’t post, then you’ll know why.

To this day, I have no idea how my mom and dad both held full-time jobs and raised my brother and me. My mom attributes everything to having three fantastic grandparents who were willing to take care of us anytime. It’s days like this that I wish both my parents and my husband’s parents were not day-trips away.
