Okay, I’m publicly admitting it, and I’m ashamed to do so. I’m letting Nick have Fritos for breakfast. He came to me with the bag, a bowl, and a smile. Of course, he already finished the bowl of blueberries I gave him, so Fritos aren’t the only thing he’s eaten for breakfast.
I’m finishing up a huge work project that is due today, and I don’t have the time or energy to argue with him, so guess what? The Fritos win. The work project is the reason I haven’t been on the blog in a few days, although I wish there was a more exciting reason I’ve been absent. It makes me feel guilty, like I’m neglecting a small child. About as guilty as letting Nick eat Fritos for breakfast.
Go ahead, comment away. I deserve it.

Okay, so I don’t feel as bad now. I let my little one have chips yesterday morning. He had already eaten 3/4 of his french toast and he is just too darn picky. I caved in too.
I think everyone sometime or another has done exactly what you gave in to.
When my kids were small, I did the same thing on several occasions. I always tried to make them a nutricious breakfast everyday (even school days), but that didn’t always happen!…so don’t feel bad!
It doesn’t help that he’s been teething, too, so he’s even crankier than normal. Those molars are killer to come in.
