Chase’s Potty Training Update

We had a day of success yesterday!  A dry pull up ALL DAY LONG!!!!  I was so energized by that that I decided to brave the waters and let Chase wear his “big boy’s” underwear all day today.  So far, so good. (Wait — where’s a piece of wood for me to knock on?)

The sticker chart has really gotten Chase back on track, and I’ve also been using the “big boy’s underwear” tactic to lure him into wanting to go on the potty every day.  It’s been days since I’ve had to change a dirty diaper on Chase.  Yay!!!!  Oh, did I mention that I also have to speak in the voice of the character on Chase’s underwear to make the prospect of wearing the underwear even more exciting?  Yes, I’ve been going around the house talking like Mater and Lightning McQueen from “Cars”.  But it seems to be working!

Now, if I could just get Chase to go to the bathroom on his own, without waiting for someone to tell him to go.  We’re not 100% there, but we’re getting a lot closer!
