I Need Sleep!!!

Well, in the four days and three nights since we moved Nick to the toddler bed, and  I haven’t slept past 4:00 am.  I have been low on energy and cranky most of the day because I NEED SLEEP!!!  I couldn’t sleep in today, either, because Chase had preschool, and I had a doctor’s appointment, then work to do.  By the time I was finished with work, it was time to pick up Chase, walk home, and make everyone’s lunch.  Follow that by two phone calls for work that lasted a half hour each, and there goes half the day.  Throw in some time on the computer for work and then dinner and you’ll see there is no time for me to even take a short nap. 

I’m hoping that the scene that’s been playing over again the past 3 nights doesn’t happen again tonight.  I’ll be sound asleep in bed when I feel tapping on my hand and see a familiar face looking up at me.  Why Nick comes over to my side of the bed and not Del’s, I don’t know.  He doesn’t go back to sleep, either, once he’s up.  This morning, I couldn’t take it anymore and got Del up at 6:30 am to take over.  Tonight Nick was so tired from waking up early that he crashed at 7:00 pm.  Just curled up on the floor after dinner and was out in less than a minute.  We tried to get him up so we don’t go through the same thing tonight, but he just wouldn’t get up.  I told Del he’s on Nick duty tonight, which is probably why he’s sleeping next to me while I type on the couch.

And now it’s time for me to get off the computer because I NEED SLEEP!!
